About EHN

The Eastern Metropolitan Inner & Outer Division Specialist Homeless Services Network (previous EMR, SAAP) has been in operation since July 1997. The Eastern Homeless Network is a resource to the homelessness sector operating in the Eastern Metropolitan Division.

The Network is directed by a Reference Group, the members of which are drawn from a representative range of Specialist Homeless funded services and some other significant services in the Eastern Metro Inner & Outer divisions. The Network has a funded Co-ordinator to implement plans and projects of the EMD.

Specialist Homeless Services provide assistance to some of the most marginalized people in our community. The services work with a diverse range of people which include single adults, families,  women & children escaping family violence, Aboriginal people and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse groups. Service workers are often required to assist individuals and families experiencing crisis and presenting with a range of complex issues.
