AHURI - Ready for Growth - Inquiry into Australia’s affordable housing industry capacity

Purpose of the Inquiry

Australian governments have looked to AHURI to investigate what would support an affordable housing industry to:

  • Generate new affordable housing supply
  • Facilitate stock modernisation and neighbourhood renewal in former public housing areas under new social landlords
  • Improve service quality, enhance social renter mobility and promote tenant wellbeing and economic participation.

Responding to these concerns, this AHURI research aimed to advance understanding of Australia’s affordable housing industry and its capacity to expand.

Brokerage Information 2016-2017

The Brokerage administered by the Statewide Children’s Resource Program has been refunded for the 2017-2018 financial year. Applications are now open.

This Brokerage Project, funded by DHHS, extended with the National Partnership rollover, is a wonderful addition to our program and we have been very impressed with the way people have thought creatively about how this money could support children within families they are working with.

Please read the Brokerage Guidelines and contact Susie Lukis for the 2017-2018 application form.

We know this money has made a very positive difference to the inclusion of vulnerable children in education and in their community.  We thank you all for using this money to improve the lives of children experiencing disadvantage. Please pass this onto your teams and colleagues.

As well as the bokerage, please continue to use us as a resource for children in the Inner and Outer Eastern area. Our group work continues as previously and we are always open for referrals.
