EDVOS Flexible Support Packages

Message from EDVOS - NO further packages are available this financial year 16/17. As yet, EDVOS is not in a position to clarify funding amounts for next financial year. For further information call EDVOS - 9259 4299

Flexible Support Packages (FSPs) that target high risk and promote safety have been introduced by Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to recognise family violence (FV) and the impacts on the health and wellbeing of women and children.

Eastern Domestic Violence Service (EDVOS) will manage and assess FSP applications in the Inner East and Outer East Areas of DHHS East Division.

The purposes of FSPs are for a rapid response to provide personalised, targeted assistance and to assist women and children living with violence in a crisis or post-crisis situation to achieve:

 Safety and freedom from violence
 Access to safe, stable housing
 Financial stability
 Family health and well-being
 Economic, social and community participation
 Independence

Changes to the Tenancy Advice and Advocacy Program

A message from Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC)

ECLC has been operating its Tenancy Advice and Advocacy Program since 2012, mainly funded by Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV).

Recently, CAV made significant changes to this program and will no longer be funding ECLC for this work and has allocated funding to another agency.  ECLC is therefore regrettably closing its tenancy program from July 1, 2017. The exception is for Deakin University students who will continue to receive tenancy assistance through the Sort It partnership.
