While the aim of this guide is to help inform you about the different costs of education and assist you to manage these, we believe that the personal role you play in supporting children to learn is the most critical.
By engaging in what children are learning, talking about the benefits of school and building positive relationships with people at your child’s school you reinforce the importance of education, which will be the key to them having chances and choices in life. However at the start of the school year, we know that simply working out the costs and how to reduce them can be overwhelming. This guide is here to help you. Beyond 18
Beyond 18: The Longitudinal Study on Leaving Care is a long-term research project about the lives of young people in out-of-home care and their experiences of leaving care in Victoria. It is the first of its kind to be conducted in Victoria.
The purpose of the study is to inform government policy in supporting more effective transitions for young people from out-of-home care. In particular, it will aim to improve young people’s move towards interdependent relationships and eventual independence by:
