B-Brave is for women who are struggling with or recovering from recent family violence. B-Renewed provides longer term therapeutic support to women affected by difficult family breakdown (especially family violence) beyond their crisis period, helping them rebuild their lives holistically. A children’s program is run parallel to these programs by our qualified children staff. This gives mums the needed space to focus on their recovery. Specific details of the programs are in the attached flyers.
LifeCare is passionate to walk alongside women and children affected by difficult broken relationships (especially family violence). We are committed to provide long term on-going support to empower these women to achieve full recovery and transformation. In addition to the COURAGE TO CHANGEprograms, the Centre also provides the women and their children access to our other services such as counselling, family mentoring, financial care (including financial coaching, food assistance and baby and women’s goods) and community meals.
Allow us to share with you the experiences of some of the single mums at the Centre (names have been changed for privacy reasons):
“I always feel empowered after our sessions.” Mary
“I’ve made so many positive changes in my life. I am now a better mum to my kids.” Anne
“I love the ladies! It’s so good to be amongst women who understand and are non-judgmental.” Lynne
“I thought I was completely alone and then I found friends for life.” Jenny
It is a great joy for us to be able to make a difference in the lives of these women.
We do look forward in partnering with you and your team to reaching out to more women and children who need our support to break the cycle of isolation and abuse.

Beyond 18: The Longitudinal Study on Leaving Care is a long-term research project about the lives of young people in out-of-home care and their experiences of leaving care in Victoria. It is the first of its kind to be conducted in Victoria.
The purpose of the study is to inform government policy in supporting more effective transitions for young people from out-of-home care. In particular, it will aim to improve young people’s move towards interdependent relationships and eventual independence by:
Providing insights into the critical success factors associated with transition from out-of-home care
Proposing ways of enhancing out-of-home care
Proposing improvements in the transition from care
Proposing improvements post transition from care
